Android: speed and rich UI
Android is the fastest way to a modern, touch-friendly interface. Teams can build with standard UI frameworks, reuse web or mobile skills, and take advantage of mature graphics, media and networking stacks. Linux: stability and control
Embedded Linux (Buildroot or Yocto) gives you a minimal, deterministic system that can run for years without attention. It is the natural choice when you need real-time process control, custom kernel drivers, tight boot-time budgets or long certified lifecycles in regulated industries.

- Ship fast, consumer-grade UI: Android is usually the better fit.
- Real-time control or legacy tooling: lean toward Linux.
- Long lifecycle, minimal maintenance: both work, but Linux offers finer control.
